I have so much to write about, I don’t know where to start. I’ll skip the anniversary until I upload the pictures… so let’s start with Rockford.
Steve and I headed home on Saturday morning to be with family until tomorrow afternoon. We got some great baby things
I got a few adorable maternity shirts from my two moms
Steve got a little Cubbies outfit for the baby as a birthday present – awwwww. Our baby got a “my first cubs t-shirt” and a “#1 cubs fan” baby bib. When we mentioned we had great Cubs wear for the baby, but no Vikings stuff, Kate pulled out some adorable Vikings clothes that used to be Jeff’s. Our baby is set!
Ok I’m posting a few pictures because these things happen to be sitting right in front of me at the moment. These are from my parents…
1) An adorable winter outfit 2) A bath luve (you put it on the baby while they’re taking a bath so they don’t get cold!) 3) A hooded frog towel 4) A cute baby blanket that’s reallllly soft!
Steve told me last night that Kate got us a bouncer! And what’s really awesome is that it’s the same one Steve and I had been looking at when we were out shopping. It even plays songs and vibrates. Thanks Kate and Kurt (Grandma and Grandpa)!!
More to come in the next few days about our anniversary… getting “fat”… and week 10!

I know that life must be quite stressful for you and Steve right now. Especially with Judy’s funeral. But I want you and Steve to know that it was fantastic to see both of you this weekend, even with the impending stress of the funeral. I was certainly impressed with the positive way both of you handled the trip home, even with the coming funeral services. And I must say that I was truly and sincerely impressed with Steve’s speech at the funeral.
To Emily: I love you!
To Steve: I love you!
You will be home again in several weeks. I can’t wait to see both of you again.
