Fairfax Crime Watch
The Washington Post April 10, 2008 The following incidents were recently reported by the Fairfax County Police Department. For more information, call 703 – 246-2253.
FAIR RIDGE AND SLEEPY LAKE DRIVES, 11 p.m. March 27. A masked man with a gun struck a 33-year-old male pedestrian on the head and demanded cash. The pedestrian didn’t have cash but gave him his cellphone. The robber fled. No injuries were reported.
BLUEBERRY LANE, 13200 block, 11:10 p.m. March 11. A 21-year-old Reston man was arrested in connection with an incident in which a man with a baseball bat and a gunman robbed a man in a parking lot of cash. On April 2, a man called police to his home to report tampering with a vehicle, and police determined that he was allegedly one of the robbers on Blueberry Lane. The man was charged with robbery.
BUCCANEER CT., 3100 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
CEDAR RUN LANE, 13600 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.
CORSAIR CT., 3900 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
CROUCH DR., 12800 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
DULLES TECHNOLOGY DR., 13600 block. A computer was stolen from a residence.
METROTECH DR., 13900 block. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.
ARCHSTONE CT., 6000 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
BRIARVIEW CT., 6100 block. A radio was stolen from a vehicle.
BURWELL ST., 6400 block. Stereo equipment was stolen from a vehicle.
EATON PL., 4300 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
FORSYTHIA ST., 6500 block. A lawn mower, a power washer, an auger and a toolbox were stolen from a residence.
GENERAL WASHINGTON DR., 5600 block. A roll of wire was stolen from a construction site.
JUNE ST., 7500 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CENTER, 5900 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
LAURALIN PL., 7500 block. A stereo was stolen from a vehicle.
POHICK ROAD AND LARNE LANE, License plates were stolen from a vehicle.
RICHMOND HWY., 10700 block. A leather jacket and a wallet were stolen from a business.
BACKLICK RD., 6600 block. A 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio was stolen.
ELLESMERE CT., 6000 block. A 2000 Honda Accord was stolen.
MARIN WOODS CT., 7600 block. A 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was stolen.
OLD COLCHESTER RD., 10700 block. A Mercury Grand Sable was stolen.
SHEFFIELD VILLAGE LANE, 7600 block. A 1997 Dodge Caravan was stolen.
SPRINGFIELD BLVD., 6800 block. A 1994 Mazda 626 was stolen.
PINEWOOD TERR., 3800 block, 5:50 a.m. March 30. Two female acquaintances argued, and one showed a knife and attempted to stab the other, a 32-year-old woman. The woman ran, and the assailant chased her, stabbed her in the leg, took her jewelry and struck her on the head. The injured woman was treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The incident was under investigation.
PATRICK HENRY DR., 2900 block, 9:20 p.m. April 2. Two men demanded cash from a 28-year-old male pedestrian, then knocked him to the ground and struck him. The robbers fled. Nothing was reported taken. Police located two men nearby. Two Falls Church men, ages 27 and 28, were charged with attempted robbery.
ANNANDALE RD., 2900 block. Two phones were stolen from a business.
BRADDOCK RD., 4100 block, 2:20 a.m. March 27. School security personnel and police, responding to an alarm at an elementary school, found gang-related graffiti on school trailers, the main school building and a school bus.
CARLIN SPRINGS RD., 3400 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.
JAGUAR TRAIL, 7500 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a school.
LEESBURG PIKE, 5100 block. Cash was stolen from a business.
LEESBURG PIKE, 5500 block. A purse was stolen from a business.
LITTLE RIVER TPK., 6200 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.
LITTLE RIVER TPK., 7300 block. Five signs were stolen from a business.
LITTLE RIVER TPK., 7400 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.
SEVEN CORNERS CENTER, 6200 block. An air compressor was stolen from a business.

SPRING LANE, 3400 block. Coins were stolen from a residence.

CRESWELL DR., 3100 block. A 1998 Honda was stolen.
EVERGREEN LANE, 4200 block. A 1994 Honda Accord was stolen.
JOHN MARSHALL DR., 2900 block. A 1999 Honda Civic was stolen.
LANDESS ST., 6300 block. A Honda Accord was stolen.
LEESBURG PIKE, 5800 block. An Isuzu Rodeo was stolen.
MEDFORD DR., 4100 block. A 1997 Acura Integra was stolen.
SOUTHLAND AVE., 4600 block. A 1994 Honda Accord was stolen.
DORR AVE., 2800 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.
GEORGETOWN PIKE, 6300 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.
GEORGETOWN PIKE, 6500 block. An iPod was stolen from a school.
LEE HWY., 7100 block. Gas was stolen from a service station.

TYSONS CORNER CENTER, 7800 block. Silverware was stolen from a business.
WATSON ST., 8100 block. A gym bag was stolen from a vehicle.
BOWLER DR., 9000 block. A 1994 Acura Integra was stolen.
CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 2000 block. A 2004 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen.
ENOLA ST., 7800 block. A 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was stolen.
GATE HOUSE PLAZA, 3000 block. A 2000 Dodge Caravan was stolen.
SHREVE RD., 7800 block. A 1999 Dodge Caravan was stolen.
BUCKMAN RD., 4200 block, 11:15 a.m. March 29. A man allowed a woman into his apartment to use the telephone, and she brought a 41– year-old man with her. When the resident asked the man to leave, he refused. The resident then allegedly cut the man on the upper body. The man was treated at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. A 48-year-old man was charged with malicious wounding.
NORTH KINGS HWY., 6200 block, 10 p.m. March 31. Two men, one with a handgun, forced a 21-year-old employee back into a pharmacy, then took his cellphone and demanded cash. The employee gave them cash, and the men assaulted him and fled. The employee was treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
RICHMOND HWY., 7700 block, 11 a.m. March 27. A man with a handgun demanded cash from an employee in a store. The employee gave him cash. The robber fled.
CORNELL DR., 6600 block. A mirror was stolen from a door of a vehicle.
LOCKHEED BLVD., 3100 block. Beer and wine were stolen from a business.
RICHMOND HWY., 7800 block. A bicycle was stolen from a business.

ESPLANADE DR., 11400 block. A cellphone and a navigation system were stolen from a vehicle.
HUNTERS WOODS PLAZA, 2200 block. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.
ROGER BACON DR., 11200 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
WAINWRIGHT DR., 1700 block. A Global Positioning System device and cash were stolen from a vehicle.
WYNKOOP DR., 10700 block. A jacket and a bag were stolen from a vehicle.
FAIRWAY DR., 11400 block. A 1994 Toyota Corolla was stolen.
BEDDINGFIELD WAY, 14200 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
LEE JACKSON MEMORIAL HWY., 14500 block. A purse was stolen from a business.
LEE HWY., 13800 block. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.
LYNHODGE CT., 14800 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.
MORNING DOVE LANE, 14200 block. Property was stolen from a vehicle.
ST. GERMAIN DR., 14100 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle.

TRINITY PKWY., 5900 block. A purse was stolen from a business.
WINDING RIDGE LANE, 14000 block. Jewelry was stolen from a residence.
BOLTON RD., 14800 block. A 1994 Honda Civic was stolen.
ST. GERMAIN DR., 14300 block. A 1995 Ford Mustang was stolen.
BURKE LAKE RD., 9000 block, 1 p.m. March 27. A man was observed touching himself inappropriately as he sat at a computer in a public library. A 58-year-old Burke man was charged with a sexual offense.
BURKE COMMONS ROAD AND WYE OAK COMMONS CIRCLE, 10:40 p.m. March 30. A 59-year-old male pedestrian noticed a driver stop a vehicle on the shoulder of the road. A short time later, a person punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground. A man demanded cash, then took his wallet from his pocket. The pedestrian reportedly received minor injuries. The incident was under investigation.
BENT TREE CIR., 13000 block, 9:40 p.m. March 31. A woman found a man standing in her living room and called out for another occupant in the house. The man fled on foot, and an occupant chased him. A tool was missing from the residence. go to site 2000 honda accord
BURKE CENTRE PKWY., 5600 block, March 28. An employee arrived at an auto parts store and found that the business had been forced open during the night. One tool was missing.
BURKE CENTRE PKWY., 5700 block, 3 a.m. March 29. Cash was stolen from two businesses in a shopping center.
OLD KEENE MILL RD., 7600 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.
OLD KEENE MILL RD., 8100 block. A wallet was stolen from a school.
OX RD., 5200 block. Gas was stolen from a service station.
PETER ROY CT., 9300 block. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.
ROLLING RD., 7900 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
TYROLEAN WAY, 8500 block. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

MAIN ST., 9600 block, 2:31 p.m. March 30. A female motorist argued with a police officer who had stopped her for a traffic violation and refused to sign a traffic summons. The woman allegedly assaulted the officer several times during an attempt to arrest her. A 24-year-old Alexandria area woman was charged with resisting arrest, assaulting an officer and refusing to sign a summons. No serious injuries were reported.
BLACKTHORN CT., 10000 block, 4 p.m. March 30 to 7:53 a.m. March 31. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a residence.
BRADWATER ST., 3900 block, 8 p.m. March 23 to 6 a.m. March 24. A child’s bicycle was stolen after it was left in front of a residence.
BRADWATER ST., 3900 block, 9 p.m. March 31 to 8 a.m. April 1. Two hubcaps were stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence.
CAMPBELL DR., 3100 block, 5 to 8:30 p.m. March 29. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle in a towing storage facility.
CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 3600 block, noon March 28 to 8:30 a.m. March 31. Copper pipes were stolen from a vacant house.
FAIRFAX BLVD., 9900 block, 8:01 p.m. March 27. Cash was stolen from a restaurant office.
FAIRFAX BLVD., 10800 block, 8:45 p.m. March 27. The front skid plates were stolen from five new pickup trucks in a rear storage lot at an auto dealership.
FAIRFAX BLVD., 10900 block, 8:43 a.m. March 29. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
LEE HWY., 11000 block, Feb. 18 to March 27. An audio device was stolen from a guitar store.
MAIN ST., 9600 block, 5:52 to 6:22 p.m. March 31. A purse was stolen from a table in a restaurant.
MAIN ST., 9600 block, 7 to 9:29 p.m. March 30. A wallet was stolen from a locker at a fitness center.
PLANTATION PKWY., 3200 block, 10 p.m. March 25 to 8:35 a.m. March 26. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle entered by breaking a window.
RAIDER LANE, 10200 block, 9:30 p.m. March 25. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle in front of a residence. The vehicle was entered by breaking a window.
CAVALIER CT., 11100 block, 10 p.m. March 25 to 8 a.m. March 26. A window of a vehicle was smashed.
FAIRFAX BLVD., 11200 block, 11 p.m. March 31 to 6:45 a.m. April 1. A window of a truck in a parking lot was smashed.
SIDEBURN RD., 4300 block, March 8 to March 29. A side mirror on a vehicle at a residence was broken.

LEE ST. S., 100 block, 3:30 to 7:58 a.m. March 30. A window of a vehicle was smashed.

SPRINGTIDE PL., 1200 block, 9 p.m. March 29 to 9:15 a.m. March 30. Tires of a vehicle were slashed.

CENTER ST. N., 400 block, 3:30 p.m. March 25 to 7 a.m. March 26. The driver’s side window and a door handle of a car were broken. The vehicle was parked at a residence.
