I'm still here!

Ahh, I didn’t even realize how long it has been since my last update until someone commented a couple days ago asking what happened to my blog and if I was still updating it! Yikes!

I’m still here! Just a bit busy :)

Rebecca is great. She’s a wonderful sleeper and will sleep hours at a time.… but… she doesn’t sleep AS well at night. She’s a little night owl. And that makes for a very tired mama (and daddy).

Ryan now gets up at 5:30am, too, so we’re ALL still adjusting.

Ryan loves his baby sister and always wants to “pat her” and kiss her. However, he is having a hard time adjusting to the new addition and the shared attention. This deserves an entirely separate blog post. Anyway, needless to say, I have my hands full. Rebecca sleeps a lot during the day, but Ryan needs a lot more attention. Plus, with the beautiful weather we’re suddenly having, we’re spending a lot of time outside. I used to use evenings as blog/work time because Steve would be home from work to help with the kids. But now… we’re both totally exhausted. I haven’t had the energy to blog, honestly, and I try to get in bed as early as possible. So there goes my blogging time!

Promise I’ll get back on the wagon soon :) Too much work to do and too many posts to write! I will also be posting my birth story, but first I have to write it! And it will be password protected for only family and friends. If I know you, you can read it :)

Bloggers don’t get a 12 week family/maternity leave? LOL! So glad you are doing well, I have missed your posts but I totally understand! :)

So nice to see an update! I would love to read your birth story. My expectant sister-in-law is planning a home birth and the more I learn about it, the more I love the idea. Congratulations on your beautiful addition!

So nice to read the updates. I understand not wanting to share the story with the whole world, reading the updates through the labor though has gotten me thinking about a home birth vs hospital. If you decide to share with me I’d be grateful. But I understand either way.

So glad to hear all is going well! Your babies are just beautiful! I wanted to mention that your second delivery inspired me to research more fully my options for my second child when we ttc again in the future. I had a pretty similar labor to yours last year – 30 hours of little progress and my son was also delivered c-section. I will be attempting VBAC next time for sure! Thanks for all that you have shared-it’s been so helpful to me and so sorry that others have gotten in your way in this regard. Best!

Ohh, I love it! You can do it, mama!!! Ya know, some moms just have long labors and that’s what we need – time. If you ever have any questions or just need to chat, I’m here :)
