Last weekend we were at our nephew’s birthday party. My brother-in-law asked us what we were doing that lovely Saturday night and I responded with (what else)… “watching our children? being parents?” Yep, that’s about it, we don’t get out much! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love my two little cuddle bugs and our family nights in. But new movies? Nah. We don’t even have TV so half the time I don’t even have a clue what new movies are out.
But I DO know about Spider-Man. Even my 2.5 year old knows about him. Our 6-year-old nephew loves Spider-Man so obviously Ryan now thinks he’s the coolest ever, hence the title of this post.… Ryan says, “I’m a spider man, mommy!”
So when we were at Walmart and I spotted the pre-purchase option for The Amazing Spider-Man movie, I couldn’t pass it up. Actually, Ryan wouldn’t let me pass it up – even though he won’t get to watch for ohhhh another 10 years or so lol.
There were two options – the DVD or a gift set that includes the Blu-ray + DVD in a mask case. I think I turned into a little kid in this moment because — a DVD case shaped like a Spider-Man mask?! How cool! Must have.
AND with both pre-purchase options you can register online to watch the movie early on vudu.com! I’ve never seen that before so that was pretty exciting!
We couldn’t leave the store without checking the Spider-Man goodies and Ryan found something that combined two of this favorite things.…
Once we got home, I opened the faux DVD case and found a paper DVD inside with my instructions to register for my vudu.com movie and to put in my address to get the actual Blu-ray + DVD gift set mailed to my house around the release date, November 9th.
It was super easy and took seconds. When you go to the specified website, you see the image above. Type in the code that’s printed on your instruction card and submit…
Then you can sign-up for a vudu.com account or just log-in if you’re already a customer. We already have an account, so I just signed in… then you put in your mailing address to make sure you get your DVD when it becomes available…
And then you can head right to vudu for your early features! You can watch the movie starting October 30th, but as soon as you log on you get access to deleted scenes and stunt rehearsals – fun stuff!
I can’t wait to finalllllly see the movie and we’re even going to have a Spider-Man themed party with fun stuff we found at Walmart (above). Ryan is REALLY excited about it, I even bought him a mask and spider man pjs! We’ll have to wait for the kids to go to bed though before we watch

My son loves Spiderman too! That’s really neat that you were able to preorder the movie and have the chance to watch it early on Vudu. That’s big incentive for Spiderman fans!
