child to cherish: piggy bank

One of the first things we got to decorate Ryan’s nursery was a piggy bank… kinda one of those classic items, right? His grandma (my mom) got it for him and it’s super special. He gets really excited to collect coins once in awhile and add them to his bank!

Rebecca is now 7 months old and was yet to have her own piggy bank! AH! Second child and all đŸ˜‰ Anyway, it was collecting dust on my “things to buy” list. Then I discovered Child to Cherish (sweet name, right?) and their big ear piggy banks. CUTE.

It comes in white, pink, and blue. I got pink for Rebecca because all her furniture is white and I was happy to see it wasn’t a BRIGHT pink. It’s soft and sweet. They also have a lot of other piggy bank options with prints and designs on them.

I was surprised by the size! It’s pretty big, but it’s definitely not too heavy. It’s sturdy ceramic.

I think Rebecca likes it! And the bottom of it has a plug for removing your coins and all four feet have soft pads on them to protect your furniture:

At first I put it in one of the cube spaces on Rebecca’s little bookshelf because it fits nicely…

But then I decided it looked better on top of her white armoire… it stands out more and it’s so cute, why not showcase it?! The photo below gives you a good idea of its size, too. So, what do you think? Pretty adorable, right? I kinda want a matching one in Ryan’s room!

Child to Cherish has a great selection of gift and keepsake items that’d be great for holidays, baby showers, new moms, birthdays, etc… I love the handprint kits and tooth fairy pillows!
