Homemade Popsicles: fruity & frozen yogurt

We have these awesome new silicone molds from HABA and I couldn’t wait to try them out with the kids! They’re bright with fun shapes and they make the perfect project on a nice spring day 🙂 Cupcakes, cakes, fancy ice cubes, and popsicles! There are so many creative ways to use all of these; where to start?! In celebration of the warmer weather (okayyyy, of course I say that and it SNOWED here today in mid-May), but anyway, we made fruity & frozen yogurt homemade popsicles and colorful ice cubes!

This silicone mold from HABA is amazing. They are the perfect size for my kids and really easy to use. I thought it’d be hard to get them out in one piece, but it wasn’t at all. They popped right out! Just put the handles in the mold and then pour in your filling, making sure none overflows into the handle area (or the frozen popsicles will be harder to get out).

The possibilities are endless! I couldn’t handle the excitement and had to try 4 different flavors of homemade popsicles at once 😉 Starting from the left side of this silicone mold, we tried: organic strawberry & banana yogurt with chopped up fresh strawberries, organic coconut yogurt, raspberry juice with fresh raspberry chunks, and raspberry juice with fresh strawberries! YUM!

They were all soooo good (yes, I tested each one). My kids were really excited about them, too, especially because they got to help make them! Ryan even let me take his picture 😉 Next up… some fun ice cubes! We have the summer party silicone mold (by HABA), which has fun stuff like a fish, crown, and popsicle.

Ryan had to have the heart and the circle (it’s actually a life saver) in his cup because he said the heart means “I love you” and the circle was the moon so he “loves mom to the moon and back!” Love this kid 😉 I just used water in some, but juice in the rest for some lightly flavored water. Can’t wait to try out some baking with the silicone flower cake mold and princess cupcakes! HABA has other great silicone molds, too, like a jungle snake cake (dishwasher, oven, and freezer safe).

There are just some brands of children’s toys that you continue going back to because of the great quality and value. With a 4- and 2-year-old, I’ve been around the block a few times… I’ve played with my fair share of toys 😉 HABA is one of those brands that continuously makes well-built products that inspire a child’s creativity and imagination. Their toys are some of our favorites!
