Their “master roaster” (see, I told you it’s fancy) knows the harvest, the altitude, the growing conditions, and the quality of the beans. He studies beans from all over the world and only selected the finest for Kahve.

They even have “Club Kahve”–get Koffee auto-shipped to your home and save 10% on recurring orders! At any time you can change the number of bags you receive, type or roast and grind, and the frequency at which they’re shipped.

I haven’t tried this coffee yet, but am being shipped a bag of the popular light/medium roast: Geneva Blend. I wasn’t sure what to pick! They have light roasts, light/medium, medium/dark and dark! What do you drink??? Is there really a big difference between them? I like to add cream and sugar so I figured I didn’t want a heavy (dark) roast. And thought I couldn’t go wrong with one of their most popular bags! I’ll let you know how it is once it arrives

When I was pregnant, we picked out an awesome theme for Ryan’s room. I wanted animals, Steve wanted sports. We actually found ANIMALS PLAYING SPORTS. Blows your mind, I know. Sadly, we never got the whole bedding set because it was so expensive. We ended up buying other pieces that matched… the window valance, crib mobile, wall stickers and the lamp. I was always pretty disappointed though that we didn’t have a matching crib sheet set. I found really cute jungle animal sheets at Target, but we never did have a crib skirt!

Artistic Sensations has really cute children’s bedding and other nursery decor items. If you keep up with Jenn over at Baby Making Machine, you know she got her beautiful bedding (and wall squares) for her adorable daughter from Artistic Sensations too! I was lucky enough to win one of Jenn’s giveaways for some imagination wall decor squares and got to talking with the owner, Kim, about my bedding issue.

She saved the day! Okay, she saved my husband from hearing me ever complain again about not having a crib bedding set I LOVE IT! The colors match the rest of our theme stuff really well. Besides, I kind of think an entire room of jungle animals (playing sports) is a little much, so I love the crib being a bit different… pretty!

I love love love the crib sheet. And the blues and the little bits of brown go great with the rest of Ryan’s things. Now I just wish his walls were painted and everything was hung up so you could see!!! We moved here in Feb. when Ryan almost 2 months old and now we’re discussing moving again (we’re insane, I know) so I’m not sure his room will EVER get done! AH! But.… at least we have a matching crib set Mama is happy. Which is funny because it’s not like Ryan sleeps in his crib anyway. BUT IT’S PRETTY ANYWAY!

The stripes on the crib bumper kind of get hidden by the slats on the crib, but that’s ok, because I love the baby blue color. (I know, I KNOW, crib bumpers aren’t safe. But Ryan doesn’t sleep in there, remember?) And the little fans of color on the crib skirt? Perfect touch. In the picture above you can see the included crib sheet, bumper, crib skirt. It also included a blanket (in the first picture), a window valance, and a diaper stacker:

Awesome, right? We didn’t even own one of these before. We have a basket with the changing table with diapers, but seriously–that changing table is getting a bit dangerous to put Ryan on! He’s a little monster. So I’m going to prefer the floor pretty soon, which will be a lot easier with this handy stacker.

Shutterfly has always been my go-to place for ordering photo products. I don’t remember exactly when I discovered them, but it was YEARS ago. I have made photo calendars–great gifts for your girlfriends!, photo books for my hubby of honeymoon and wedding pictures, and I think they have so many awesome gift ideas.… puzzles, mouse pads, coffee mugs. Seriously, just about anything you want. And they’re all customizable with your pictures.

Ryan is going to be 7 months old tomorrow. SEVEN! Going on 5 years?! I feel like I need to start planning his birthday party! I’m pretty sure I want a safari animal theme and found some cute Birthday Party Invitations at Shutterfly. Like this one:

BUT, I also really like the idea of having 12 pictures of Ryan on the card, one for each month. Especially because I take those pictures of him in his chair every month! How great would all of those be on here?!:

We’ll probably even do Christmas Photo Cards this year just because I love showing off my adorable lil man With Christmas and his birthday only 2 days apart, I’m going to need lots of cards with one beautiful little face!

When Ryan was about 5 months old, I wrote a post asking for suggestions on new toys. I felt like he was growing and developing so much that he needed MORE for his wondering and exploring little mind. The lovely Candace from Name Your Tune contacted me and suggested I try the personalized CD… how fun!!! Ryan loves music. When he was a newborn, music was the only thing that would make him stop crying–every time, without fail. And now that Ryan recognizes his name, hearing it in song must be really fun for him!

If you didn’t know, CDs also make great toys, haha. This little stinker gets into everything! But the songs? Love them! They’re mostly all songs I know, but it took a bit to get used to the new lyrics with Ryan’s name incorporated. I really like singing them to him and using his name… and I think he likes it too They have over 4,200 names recorded so there’s a pretty good chance they have the one you need! The name you choose is featured over 80 times over the 14 songs on the CD. You can even put multiple names on one CD! They just alternate the names between songs.

Something awesome? A portion of each sale is donated to Hear Here–a Toronto based non-profit organization that provides hearing aids for children.

I think my favorite is either Boom, Boom Ain’t It Great To Be YOU! or Down By The Park. Or If You’re Happy And You Know It… they’re all so cute! I can’t wait till Ryan is old enough to sing along. I’m going to have to get one of these CDs for each of my kids (ya know, that I’ll have, someday). I remember when I was little I LOVED personalized things… anything with my name on it was SO cool!

James Taylor and Carole King recently released a CD/DVD from their historic 2007 reunion performance in LA: Live at the Troubadour. Who ISN’T a Taylor and King fan?!

This live 2-disc set has 15 tracks including the classics “It’s Too Late,” “Carolina In My Mind,” “Sweet Baby James,” “You’ve Got A Friend,” and lots more! Taylor and King are on tour right now–so wish I could go!–and they still have plenty of tour dates left. Check them out here: James Taylor and Carole King tour.

With Taylor on guitar and King on the piano, this CD is timeless. Or pop in the DVD for the concert-experience.. it’s simply done and is beautiful. I love that I can share this music with Ryan (teach him the GOOD stuff!) and there is very little profanity, if any. In fact, I think only one song on the list contains any–much better than what’d he’d hear now on the radio! We need to raise this boy right–teaching him about all the classics! Taylor and King is definitely on the playlist.

Sometimes the organic products are hard to find at the grocery store–like they’re hidden away in the corner or behind posts or in the last place you’d think to look. I wish they weren’t because then maybe more people would buy them… I definitely think they’re better for you and your kids. We try to stay away from GMOs (genetically modified organisms) as much as possible in this house. So when I was given the opportunity to review some organic (and allergy friendly) cookies, I couldn’t wait. I was really curious to see how they tasted.

Home Free was founded by mom (whoohooo!) Jill Robbins. She was a clinical psychologist and turned to creating these snacks when her son was diagnosed with food allergies. These cookies are organic certified, free of trans-fats, and rich in whole grains. They’re also peanut-free, egg-free, dairy-free and tree nut-free. You should check out the info on their kitchen and baking/shipping process–they go to great lengths to ensure their products really are allergy friendly! Of course we don’t know yet if Ryan has any food allergies, but I love the cookies because they’re organic (and yummy)! They have:

Cookies: chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chip, and oatmeal–all are also sold individually wrapped or in boxes and they come in mini-size
Coffee Cakes: apple or cranberry
Cookbook/Baking Ingredients: everything you need to get started!
Gift baskets

I was sent the mini chocolate chip cookies and the regular sized oatmeal cookies. LOVE the chocolate chip. I’m a huge chocolate fan, I could live on it. I should say though that they are crunchy. I wouldn’t have even noticed (because that’s how I like my cookies), but my brother-in-law likes soft cookies so he wasn’t a huge fan of these. On the other hand, the oatmeal cookies are very soft–they were good (my husband loved them), but like I said, I prefer crunchy. I suppose I could tell a difference (compared to regular store-bought cookies), but maybe only because I knew that’s what I was eating. I think you’d be surprised at how “normal” and delicious they taste while still being organic and dairy/peanut/egg free.

An individual cookie is $1.79 or buy a box of 6 for $5.49. The mini-sized box comes with about 31 cookies… my box was gone in about 2 days (THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE SWEETS AROUND THE HOUSE! DID YOU SEEEEE MY MCFATTY MONDAY POST?! lol) But really, I’d love to have these around the house as a special treat!!

In our new lifestyle of eating organically, my husband and I had yet to find a good granola or snack bar. I was sent the Wings of Nature organic snack bars for review and love them.
