When I was at the photographer’s studio placing our order, it was brought to my attention that my son apparently has a nickname. Ryan was starting to fuss so I was talking to him to help calm him. The lady came over and said, “Oh, that’s a cute nickname! Buddy or Bud!” And I was like.… what????? Yep, I constantly call Ryan “Bud” or “Buddy” without realizing it. Hang on, Bud, we’re almost done. CHD affected a great twitter friend of mine – we were pregnant together and she lost her healthy baby at 5 days of age due to undetected CHD, just a few weeks before Ryan was born. It really hit home for me. What is CHD?
