Two of my favorite memories of my Grandpa are related to socks. Maybe that’s why I love my collection of socks so much, but I’ll take a gift of them any day! Even in the summer, especially because my husband keeps the house too cold for me, cozy and soft socks are the best.

“I have had some unforgettable experiences at camp… during those weekends the people did not just become friends, they became part of my family. I would personally like to thank everyone who helps run this amazing camp. It changes lives!” – Kim (a former camper and future counselor)
Summer is just around the corner and while both kids and parents anxiously await a much-needed vacation, there are a few others who need something more… a break from the heart-wrenching challenges they face every day as a result of a family member who is battling,
You guys. I turn 30 on Friday.
I love having an April birthday… it’s spring, the warmer weather is coming, the sun is out, and we get some fantastic rain storms.
THIS April, I turn 30.
My typical annual spring cleaning seems to have a different meaning this year… out with the old, in with the new. Goodbye to the twenties, hello to the thirties.

Clean out that wardrobe! I always have to put away my winter clothes at the end of the season and pull
As many of you know, my husband and I recently overhauled the ingredients in our kitchen. I went all in and threw away most processed and refined foods. Out with all the added sugar! We aim for fresh foods, organic meats and produce, less dairy, and the occasional complex carbs like whole grains. It has been wonderful! I hate cleaning. My parents always called it “doing chores” when I was little and it was something to be dreaded. I try to stay away from the word “chore.” That makes it sound like something you HAVE to do, like a punishment. But cleaning is FUN, right?!?! Haha, well…. maybe

I’ve never really made resolutions for the New Year. I’ve thought about things in a more general sense, like maybe this year we should try to be healthier, spend less time working, and more time with family. But I’ve never sat down and made a plan. I’ve never created specific goals or written down a way to meet them. THIS year is different.
My husband and I both declared that 2015 is the year of US. We have
