Last month I shared a new website my kids and I love called Animal Jam. Not only does it have an awesome online “playground,” but they offer a LOT of amazing free resources… printables with coloring pages and connect-the-dots, science experiments, crafts, educational sheets on animals, and more. Endless hours of fun (and learning)! Last month we painted rocks from our yard to look like ladybugs, while we chatted about them and other insects. Meet Oreo and Dolce There is nothing more uncomfortable than a 60lb Boxer trying to straddle your lap in the passenger seat of a car. Before my husband and I met, his Boxer (Oreo) would always get to sit in the passenger seat during car rides. Needless to say, Oreo wasn’t the happiest camper when I came into their life and Product was received to facilitate this review of Curious Critters. All opinions are my own. A couple of years ago we received the book Curious Critters by David FitzSimmons. Ryan was young and we were still reading basic board books, but this book quickly became a favorite. It was a must-read every day—or, really, like 12 times a day, haha. He was fascinated by the large and bright photographs, the interesting animals, and learning all of their names. Curious Critters by David FitzSimmons I was thrilled to hear that a second edition was I have so many plans for this summer of fun… just trying to cram everything in before Ryan starts preschool in the fall! Ryan has been to the zoo before… this same Madison zoo, actually. But that was two years ago (wow!) and he definitely doesn’t remember it. He was thrilled to go this time and see the animals in person that we’re always talking and reading about. Rebecca was excited, too, and couldn’t stop staring and squealing at the the animals. I think it’s Steve’s parents have a lakehouse in WI that’s near Madison. A couple of weeks ago we finally drove into the city to take Ryan to the free zoo… for being free, it’s really nice! It was super hot and Ryan was getting close to his nap time so he was kind of quiet, but he made a few OOOOO and AHHHH sounds at certain animals! It was soooo cute. Feeding the goats |
