My baby is ONE?! But I just had him! I tell ya, that cliche “time flies” doesn’t change by the 3rd kid. In fact, time flies even faster. What a blur. In true Norwegian fashion, we went with a themed Viking party for the little man. It was a lot of fun to put together!
How cute is this cake?! Jacob’s little smash cake is sitting on top and looks just like a Viking helmet. I know, I know, REAL Vikings didn’t actually have horns on their helmets, but… it’s cute that way.

Ryan turned 4 at the end of December and we had his birthday party last weekend! He’s been obsessed with Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell (remember his Halloween Fairy Costume)? So, of course, we were planning a pirate party! You can check my Pirate Party Pinterest Board for more ideas, too. I’ll link to all the products at the end of the post so you can find what you need.
I got the pirate party invites and

Having two kids of my own AND seeing (and sometimes reviewing) the newest and hottest toys for my website, I get asked a lot for gift ideas. Sometimes at Christmas, but usually for birthdays. Especially when kids are little, a lot of family and friends of the parents get invited and they might not have kids of their own… many have NO idea what to get. I’d say I have some experience there and do know about a lot of brands and products that a lot of people have probably never heard of. So,

This post is SO ridiculously late, it’s embarrassing. Rebecca is 1 day shy of turning 15 months old and her 1st birthday party was three months ago. Basically, I took about 524302 photos and dreaded the task of 1) editing them and 2) trying to choose what photos to publish. AH! This will probably take me an hour to write because I still haven’t chosen… but at least I’ve edited! The cup is HALF FULL, people. On to Pretty in Pink…

Ohhhh, Rebecca. Where do I start? It’s such an exciting milestone… to turn one… but it’s hard for your mama, too. The first year flew by so quickly and now my baby girl isn’t a baby anymore. It’s bittersweet. But even if you aren’t a “baby” anymore, you’ll always be MY baby <3
You know, before I had you I hated princess stuff. I was never into Barbies as a little girl and I just didn’t get in to the frills and tiaras… I desperately wanted to have a

My baby turned three at the end of December, just after Christmas. He wasn’t feeling well on his actual birthday–we just barely got him to blow out his candles and eat some cake, but he didn’t even want to open presents! The horror. His party was planned for that Saturday, but because of all the illness going around we postponed it to the following week, January 5th.
The theme? A Dino-Mite Dinosaur Celebration!!! Ryan-o-saurus is turning three!
I’ll tell ya, it’s tough having a party right after the holidays…

As I typed that title, “my baby boy is three,” all I could imagine is how quickly the next numbers will come… “my baby boy is four” or “my baby boy is ten.” Every year seems to go by faster and every day I look at you I can tell how much bigger you are getting. It’s bittersweet… you’re at such a fun age (you know, when it’s not a difficult age, lol)… you tell the best stories, we talk all the time, you’re such a sweetheart, and you’re always making me laugh. I
