How do you teach your children to be compassionate, caring, and giving? I often think about how my kids will grow up and the kind of people they’ll be. As parents, we can only hope that our children grow to be strong, independent, thoughtful, and kind individuals, right? As an adult, I’m saddened at how often I see others acting unkind or rude. My son, who will be 3 in December, is the biggest sweetheart EVER. I often think about his innocence and his compassion and wonder how I can preserve it. I want him to stay a sweetheart. I want him to always be compassionate and kind and caring, just as he is now.
Sometimes I tell Ryan that there are adults that don’t know as much as he does… that don’t behave as well as he can.
