Baby Dickey 3 and 4?!

Well, it has been awhile! What have we been doing over at the Dickey home?! We’ve kept busy, that’s for sure. My husband and I spent 9 days traveling around Alaska, which was INCREDIBLE. We went for our 30th birthdays and our 7th wedding anniversary (all occur within about a month). That’ll have to be for another post, but it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime type of trip.

We had a great summer with the kids. They each took a week-long dance camp (Ryan’s was more hip hop style and Rebecca’s was more like

Family Movie Nights with Feeln (now half off!)

We don’t have cable or anything at our house. My husband and I actually got rid of it in college years ago (I thought I was going to die!), but we’ve never looked back. We survive with streaming services, like Feeln. Haven’t heard of it? Well, I know you’ve heard of Netflix… and this is the same idea, but is specifically for families. I partnered with them to share how you can try it free for a week or read below on how to get one year half off.

It’s really super easy

Gift Giving Tradition: the night before the night before Christmas

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #NorthpoleFun #CollectiveBias

When I was a kid, my brother and I always got to open one present on Christmas Eve. It was usually a new pair of holiday pajamas! Now that my husband and I have two kids of our own, we continue the tradition! Except for one major problem… our Christmas Eve is SO busy! We spend it with my parents first and then we head to his parents’ house. By the time we get home

Christmas Traditions: what do you do with your family?

I didn’t realize how many Christmas traditions we truly have until I started going through my old photos! We’ve continued on traditions from my own family, my husband’s family, our Norwegian heritage, and even traditions with our friends (Ugly Sweater Party!). Now that we have two little ones (almost 5 and 2.5 years), we’re starting our own, too. I partnered with Walmart’s #ChosenByKids event to share these with you…

Best Mexico Beach Destinations with Kids

Around this time last year we went on a family vacation to Cozumel. I got a lot of questions and emails about that trip… other parents who were trying to plan a beach vacation with their kids and were nervous about it. Understandable! Traveling with kids is hard. Taking them to a new town you’ve never seen can be risky–will it be a good place for children? Will they have fun? Will YOU have peace of mind?! Here are some of the best Mexico beach

Cozumel With Kids: our family vacation

When I wrote my post yesterday about 11 years with the husband and our 5 years of wedding anniversaries, I realized I never posted about our family vacation to Cozumel! I only posted the beautiful sandy beaches. This post was saved in my drafts with only 2 photos… I think I took SO many photos on the trip I was overwhelmed! So here we go… 5 months later! I had a lot of people

Say Yes to Less… Distractions!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Little Remedies. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

In today’s society, with the need for instant gratification and shopping at our fingertips, our lives are filled with things, tech gadgets, time wasters, and waste. There’s so much we can all use LESS of… so it was easy to take the “Say Yes to Less Pledge” with Little Remedies. The problem was narrowing it down to what I would
