15 Gluten-Free Sunday Night Dinners

I recently talked about our family attempting to go gluten-free. No, we don’t have any gluten intolerance or even much sensitivity to it (that we know of), but we think it’s a healthier decision for our family. We started slow as we figured out things to avoid and what to buy. We are still learning where to find everything we need in the grocery store (or in the multiple stores we need to visit as a result). Recreating recipes has been the hardest part as we completely change the way we’re used to doing

Eating Gluten Free with Udi’s

I participated in this program on behalf of Udi’s and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own!

Do you know people that eat gluten-free diets? Maybe you do or someone else in your family? Our immediate family never did before, but I have a couple of close friends and other family members that have gluten sensitivities and have completely removed it from their diet. I’ll be totally honest–I thought gluten-free food would taste bad. Bland. Like a diet. I felt bad for the friends that HAD to eat that way…

And then I actually

GoPicnic Simply Delicious gift box giveaway

GoPicnic is the place to go for boxed meals. They’re “nutritionally balanced, shelf-stable, ready-to-eat boxed lunches and meal boxes that require no refrigeration, heating, or preparation.” They started on airlines, created meal boxes for hotels, tourism, corporate events, and colleges, added care packages in 2010, and went to the retail market (for us!) in 2011.

You can subscribe and get meals delivered to your door or just shop their grocery. They have meals for special diets, too, and you can shop for gluten-free, vegan,

I. hate. meal. planning.

~I received meal planning services from eMeals to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own!

You’d think this far into my “wife” and “work-at-home-mom” career thing I’d be used to planning dinners and cooking. Nope. Not a fan. When I cook, I HAVE to have a recipe, I’m terrible at throwing things together… so for me, the hardest part about cooking is figuring out what in the world to make! I realized that if I sat down every weekend and figured out meals for the next week–and then went to the store for

NurturMe: organic baby food

We try our best to eat healthy and buy organic or shop local. I like making food for my kids – but I don’t always have the time or the produce and I look for healthy and easy alternatives. I recently received some sample packs from NurturMe and we’re loving them! They’re the first and only family with certified organic, dried fruit and veggie meals and snacks for infants and toddlers.

The NurturMe meals come in little pouches filled with dried fruit and veggies.

Pret a Paquet container giveaway

There are so many times we need to pack lunches or snacks to-go. My husband brings his lunch to work, I never leave the house without snacks for my kids, and we often eat lunch at the park or on-the-go during playdates, etc. I am always scrambling for easy to use containers and lunch boxes, especially when a meal has food that needs to be separated or has a dip or sauce. I recently received some items from Pret a Paquet to review to help me out with this problem!
