Baby Dickey 3 and 4?!

Well, it has been awhile! What have we been doing over at the Dickey home?! We’ve kept busy, that’s for sure. My husband and I spent 9 days traveling around Alaska, which was INCREDIBLE. We went for our 30th birthdays and our 7th wedding anniversary (all occur within about a month). That’ll have to be for another post, but it was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime type of trip.

We had a great summer with the kids. They each took a week-long dance camp (Ryan’s was more hip hop style and Rebecca’s was more like

Before I was a mom, I’d never be THAT mom

You know all those things you said before you ever actually became a mom… you walked around and watched other moms at the grocery store or at a restaurant and you’d think to yourself, “I will NEVER be THAT Mom!” My kids will never behave that way. I know some people know exactly what their “first” memory is… it’s usually something either really amazing or really terrible. I have no idea what my first memory is, I don’t

wordless wednesday: my sacrifice

In honor of the SAHM post I just wrote last night, I found this and thought it was perfect <3

besides “Mom,” who am I?

A few weeks ago the Friends theme song came on the radio in the car… it reminded me how much I used to love watching that show and it made me think about who I was before I became “Mom.”

Ya know how they say no one is happy unless mom is happy? I think it’s true. And definitely not because I’m the most important person in the household or anything, but because I’m the one home every day with the kids and if I’m cranky, it totally rubs off on them. If they’re
