Wordless Wednesday: my fight with pants

MOMS For The 21st Century Act: we need your help!

We’re going to get somewhere, I swear. We’re going to make things happen. And it’s about.damn.time. On July 21, 2010, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard (CA-34) introduced the Maximizing Optimal Maternity Services (MOMS) for the 21st Century Act, a bill that includes measures to improve maternity care in our nation. This bill still needs co-sponsors. PLEASE write or call your rep today and ask them to co-sponsor this bill. Find yours here: Representative Offices.

Kiki’s Fashions Maternity

Ok, I was told about this site called Kiki’s Fashions Maternity and I had to share it because… it’s cheap! When I was pregnant, it was so annoying to find cute maternity clothes that were affordable. Like preggos don’t have enough things they need to spend tons of money on for the new baby, right?!

Anyway, with prices about 75% lower than maternity boutiques, this place has maternity clothes that you can afford (even jeans!) and most of them are pretty cute, I think. Also, they have a section for clothes under

Veronique Maternity: boutique review

Welcome to Veronique Maternity! This is an upscale maternity boutique located in New York City and is owned by Lori Solomon, an expert in maternity fashion and dressing for style and comfort during pregnancy. Finding cute maternity clothes was one of the hardest parts of my pregnancy. I never did settle on any jeans and either got stuck in leggings or pre-preggo jeans with my BellaBand (which became not so comfy in the later weeks)! I also bought a lot of non-maternity tops in a larger size, which sometimes worked

As of today… 190 days (68.2%) through pregnancy. 90 days (~13 wk) until our due date!! And only ONE WEEK until the third trimester, yikes!

The Baby: *Fun fact: babies have more taste buds at birth than they will later in life. They can tell the difference between their mother’s milk and someone else’s. *His eyes are beginning to open and his retinas are forming *He’s about 14.5 inches long, weighing about 2 pounds *Size of a small pot roast (hmm.. interesting thought.) *Keenly aware of sound and may move to the rhythm of

Fish in the sea you know how I feel River running free you know how I feel blossom in the trees you know how I feel

It’s a new dawn It’s a new day It’s a new life For me And I’m feeling good

(muse)

Most common question I get is if I’m feeling better yet… so I thought I’d let everyone know that I’m feeling great 🙂 Much less nauseous, eating better, feeling good. Still sensitive to smells, but that’s ok.

Also… grandma-to-be dickey got me

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother’s Day, Moms (Grandmas, ha)!

A few more gifts to share….

My first maternity shirt, thanks Jacalyn!!! It could almost be worn as a dress right now, but it’s hilarious… and Jac specifically stated it’s for the lakehouse 🙂 Love it!

Also from Jacalyn: a card that said she hopes the baby inherits my grace and empathetic spirit, Steve’s patience and humor, and a recessive gene for a smaller forehead… hahaha. cute! 🙂

From my mom: a soft carrier. My baby buying guide says “Why we love them: We’d never
