Five hours in the car with my brother… were we fighting or playing games? I can’t even remember that part of it. We probably sat mostly in silence, headphones on our ears, mine blasting some Aerosmith.
We finally get out and stretch. The air is clean and crisp with the deep scent of pine. My dad opens up the cabin and my brother and I run from room to room, throwing our stuff–just like home! A trip to the local grocery store to stock the kitchen and to the bait shop We have hired MANY different photographers since having kids. Newborn photos, various milestones over the first year, family pictures, maternity sessions, and holidays. We’ve found photographers we’ll never use again and ones we’ll continue to hire… investing that time and money can be hard! I worked with friends at Catalyst Design & Photography in Rockford IL to come up with these tips on how to choose a photographer. How to choose a photographer: 1. They take photographs and video (tapes, files, etc.) and convert them to digital files and DVD, allowing you to watch and share anywhere! My family has used their services many times with old VHS tapes. We don’t even own a VHS player anymore and some tapes were unplayable anyway. ~This post was written in a partnership with YesVideo. We still have a stack to send to YesVideo and do a little at a time. They’re mainly VHS tapes from when my brother and I were little and it’s so fun to see those moments now that I have my own little ones–and to see our childhood dog and Grandpa again 🙂 I’m thrilled that Newborn baby photos are the most precious things on the entire planet. You can’t look at one without an “awWWWWWWWWwwwWW!” escaping your mouth and your ovaries twining a bit for another squishy pink cheeked babe of your own. With the capabilities of the internet and new social sites like pinterest it’s impossible not to see the cutest baby photos ever. I think it’s a contest…. how can we make the CUTEST PHOTO EVER? How can we spread MORE BABY FEVER?! What else can we put this baby in?! We’ve tried a wagon…. a bucket… At what age did you form your first memory? Or what types of things do you clearly remember from your childhood? I know memories start forming around age 3, which is how old our son Ryan is… and why I sat up thinking about this while nursing Rebecca at 3am last night (I can’t believe I actually still remembered it this morning, haha). I know some people know exactly what their “first” memory is… it’s usually something either really amazing or really terrible. I have no idea what my first memory is, I don’t |
