I’m a mom 24/7… I eat, sleep, and breathe “MOM.” Especially as one that stays at home, I find it really important to find little breaks… call it saving my sanity or remembering who I am, besides Mom. A night away or going to see a movie or getting a pedicure would be nice, but things like that are very Keep Reading mommy’s guilty pleasures I’m a list maker. I love notepads… and pens… and LISTS. Now, that might make you think I’m organized… but I’m not. I’m a fake. I think sometimes I just get overwhelmed by certain tasks (like cleaning the house, planning a party, writing blog posts, etc.) and writing it out on paper makes it way more manageable. Ya know, in Keep Reading my schedule as a stay-at-home-mom I can’t remember how old Ryan was when I left him overnight for the first time. I suppose I could go back through my blog posts and figure it out, haha. It may have been when I went to BlogHer10… he would have been just over 7 months old. Although I don’t think that I would have had the FIRST Keep Reading mama’s first night away and a fairly embarrassing video Oh boy, people. I totally won the MOM OF THE YEAR award today. Because that does exist, to be awarded by the powers that be to only the most worthy. And I am clearly sooooo worthy (just ask my kids! ha. ha.). Ryan is starting an in-home daycare soon, just one day a week to socialize with Keep Reading Mom of the Year award A few weeks ago the Friends theme song came on the radio in the car… it reminded me how much I used to love watching that show and it made me think about who I was before I became “Mom.” Ya know how they say no one is happy unless mom is happy? I think it’s true. And definitely not Keep Reading besides “Mom,” who am I? I know so many wonderful mamas out there and am lucky enough to have some amazing mothers in my life! Happy Mother’s Day, you all deserve it! Hope you have a great day and get spoiled rotten And to my own mama…
