We were going to use Ryan’s crib for the new baby and convert Ryan to a twin-sized bed because we had an extra one. But then we found out we were having a girl and I really really reallllllllllllllly wanted her to have a white crib. Ryan’s is espresso colored. When Hayneedle said they’d send us one, I was super excited. The twin bed is in our basement, Ryan’s crib is now a toddler bed, and our baby girl gets Keep Reading Inspiration for our baby girl’s nursery *2 weeks to go!* This baby girl is making fists and my bladder is the punching bag. Oh, and my diaphragm. My ribs. My stomach. Pretty much everything. She’s about 6.5 lbs and 19.5 inches long. She’s still head down, but she has rotated. Remember I said she was on the left of my body and she needed to be on the right side, optimally? She Keep Reading Pregnancy week 38: labor watch I took this video of Ryan around Thanksgiving and kept forgetting to upload and post it. A lot of people have been asking recently what in the world we’re naming our baby girl so I’m finally getting around to it! I’ve said the name a few times on my personal facebook page and maybe even on Pinterest tags, etc, but haven’t announced it here yet.… And since Ryan is such a proud big brother, I thought I’d let him Keep Reading The name of our baby girl is… *3 weeks to go!* FULL TERM! My due date is still 3 weeks away so I know that doesn’t mean a lot, but it gives some peace of mind. This baby girl could be born anytime now with lungs mature enough to likely be just fine. I’ll take the 3 extra weeks though! And seeing how Ryan was 9 days late, I’m figuring I’ll get 4 more weeks with this little one. Keep Reading Pregnancy week 37: full term! **4 weeks to go! Well, 3.5… because this post is a little late ** She’s somewhere around 18.5 inches long and 6 pounds. At my appointment today, my midwife guessed she was 5.5 – 6 lbs. And YAY we’ve reached the point that I could still have a homebirth if I went into labor now (ya know, assuming all signs are fine).… because most babies born now do very well.
