Back in August, Steve gave me an early push present. I get part 2 when it actually comes time to push… the mother’s love ornament engraved with our son’s name I know pushing is a lot of work (the reason behind the push present), but I thought the husband deserved something too… for comforting preggo! The other night I gave Steve his “push present.” A “manly” diaper bag. No, I haven’t even bought a bag for myself! Keep Reading Push Present for the Husband! 8 weeks (56 days) to go!! I had never heard of it until FutureMama started talking about it on twitter. So I read her blog post, The Push Present, and it introduced me to this wonderful idea. I passed on the info to my hubby in an email (being that he was living in a different state at the time). I was half joking Keep Reading I got a push present! The Baby: *“It’s a great time to be a fetus.” This baby can be sucking its thumb, playing with the umbilical cord (oooh, fun!), which it can now grasp, or kicking at the amniotic sac. Wow I really hope the toys we buy seem awesome in comparison. *Heart pumps 25 quarts of blood a day *Bladder empties every 45 minutes *Weighs 3 ounces, 4.5 inches in length = size of an avocado! (or… a small gerbil) *Bones are hardening *A big growth spurt Keep Reading Week 16 Steve leaves the early 20’s today and turns 24! Don’t forgot to wish him a happy birthday! Week 9! *The baby is now called a fetus (Latin for “little one”) *Brain waves can now be detected (wow.) *An inch long = the size of a grape! (I love these comparisons every week.) *0.07 ounces *Eyes fully formed, but eyelids fused shut *Now that the basic physiology is in place, the baby is ready for “rapid weight gain” — oh Keep Reading Happy Birthday, Steve!!
