Tubby Tuesdays: I’m Melting

Ok, so I totally suck at writing these posts every week. Maybe it’s because I suck at working out. But I don’t feel so bad, because my partner in crime cupcakes, Mama B, sucks at writing her posts too 🙂

But really? I’m melting. People told me that if I made it breastfeeding past 6 months, the weight would start to come back off again. And it did! I don’t know if it’s the breastfeeding or not, but I’ll take it. I was stuck around 120 for awhile then I had suddenly lost 5 pounds next time I got on the scale. I now weight LESS than my pre-pregnancy weight. I weigh about 114-115 (pre-preggo weight was about 117).

Maybe it’s because I forget to eat? Well, I don’t forget (hello, mommy brain) so much as I don’t have time (hello, mom)! I’m usually running out the door every morning for work with a glass of orange juice or instant breakfast. I am LUCKY if I get a bowl of cereal. I’ll usually have lunch–especially Tuesdays and Thursdays now because I’m at work and have a break! It’s a bagel or a sandwich. And dinner? Ha. A bowl of cereal? Popcorn? Ramen?! Yesterday I did cook lasagna and I had it again for dinner tonight–but I almost didn’t. Why? Oh, yes, because I have a baby.

He went down tonight around 6:40pm–he’s been so tired, but wouldn’t nap earlier so I couldn’t keep him up any later. This morning I tweeted about how Ryan is once again waking up once an HOUR all night long and I’m ready to kill someone. Tonight? So far he has been up once every HALF HOUR. So in between running in there I’m trying to work for my class, write blog posts, mayyyyybe heat up some dinner.

Soooo unhealthy, I know! I don’t purposely not eat. But I need to make a better attempt and eating healthier and not just snacking. Must.drink.more.water! I am TERRIBLE at that. I’m at a great weight, I think, but I need to be in better shape.

I’d LOVE some quick, easy meal ideas from you guys!! Remember, I’m a super picky eater, hate to cook and don’t have time to eat 😉

  • I am with you on the not eating right. It seems like I hardly eat and what I do eat is not healthy, but the weight is not coming off for me at all. I go back and forth between the same couple of pounds. I’ve even gotten to the point that my hair is falling out pretty bad, I need to start eating better or at the very least, take a vitamin. I’m curious about the easy healthy recipe’s as well, anything would help.
