Getting ready for the baby!

One week? Two weeks? THREE weeks?! Who the crap knows. Tomorrow?!?! The suspense is killing me! And ya know what’s really weird? I wasn’t nearly this anxious when I was pregnant with Ryan. I went 9 days late and didn’t even bat an eyelash… I was so laid back and “eh, whatever” about it. This time? At every contraction (which is nearly every 10 minutes lol), I’m all “IS THIS IT?!”

After the 3-4 hours of consistent contractions on Sunday night and their sudden disappearance, I was pretty disappointed. And exhausted. I napped a lot, I didn’t get anything done. So much for nesting?!

Today was better. I got a lot done and my baby bucket list is nearly all crossed off. The Arms Reach Co-Sleeper has been set up next to our bed… we have some leg extenders, but it’s still not tall enough for our bed so I need to order a new set of them :/

The double curtain rods came in the mail the other day, so I got those installed and her curtains hung! We have dark gray blackout curtains covered with white lace curtains… pictures soon 🙂

I washed all her clothes from size newborn up to 3 months. I washed her sheets and blankets. I opened the washer when it was done and laughed at all the pink:

I pulled out Ryan’s old baby toys from storage–mainly little animals and things to hang from the car seat, stroller, crib, etc… some blocks… and I pulled out the swing, pack and play, bouncer…

We got a new Peg Perego stroller that has a bassinet attachment–so cute! And I put that together today, too. I’m on a roll!

Soooo what’s left.

I need to blow up my yoga/birth ball… I can’t find the pump for it so I better just go buy a new one. I need to work on getting a little more food storage in the freezer for after the baby is born… easy meals! The jacuzzi needs to be cleaned out with bleach (in case I end up birthing in there). The decor needs to be hung on her walls, I need to make lace lanterns, and sew some crib sheets with fabric I bought (Steve’s voice is telling me right now that these are WANTS, not NEEDS, hahaha). I’d like to change the shower head back to our handheld one. OH and I need to make sure we have some champagne in this house for after the baby is born 🙂

ALMOST THERE!

Want a preview? Here are some things I bought to decorate her room (using the iron bodice as a bow holder) and the letters I made to hang on her wall:
