A couple of weeks ago I wrote about teaching my children how to be compassionate, kind, and giving. I went shopping with Ryan to pick out gifts for another young boy his age and then he helped me fill the shoebox to donate–actually, much to his dismay. We struggled a little bit with the meaning and my toddler giving up fun toys (watch my video in the last post and you’ll see). But I’m thankful to say that something took and the next morning he asked about the box and sending it to someone not as “lucky” as him.
I just wanted to write a quick post to remind all of you to make your shoebox! You have until Monday, November 19th, so still plenty of time! You don’t have to spend much and it will mean the world to the children that receive it. Don’t forget that BlogFrog will match the first 200 boxes!!! That means by pledging to send a box, you’re basically sending two, thanks to BlogFrog.
This holiday season donate a box with your family! Please find details at Operation Christmas Child. You can ship your box or you can drop it off at certain locations from Nov. 12 – 19, 2012.
You can follow along with Operation Christmas Child on facebook, twitter (or hashtag #OCCGiveBack), and pinterest.
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Operation Christmas Child. The opinions and text are all mine.
