Mama time with PEOPLE Magazine

Did you all enjoy PEOPLE Magazine’s Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue?! I was surprised to see Channing Tatum because…. eh. But I suppose he is pretty popular right now! I know lots of ladies that were super happy with the decision, haha. I, on the other hand, was excited to see the NEXT issue of PEOPLE Magazine (the Dec. 10th issue)….

Mmmhmm, that’s Brad Pitt. With long hair. And that’s me taking some mama time while Steve has the kids at his Grandma’s house for dinner.

I spent last Sunday shopping downtown Chicago with my mom and made a quick stop at a Walgreens on a corner of Michigan Avenue to find this baby. Easy to spot in the checkout aisle.

Oh, how I’ve missed guilty pleasures like reading magazines. I mentioned in my previous post that my mother-in-law gets these magazines and I love sitting at her house and catching up on the hollywood gossip. It was pretty nice to do it in my own home this time with my feet up sans children 😉

Some of my fave parts of the magazine…

PEOPLE Magazine

We don’t have cable so I never know what movies are out and I never know about new shows. I still watch my favorites online so I like to know about any new, good ones, too! Thanks to these features in PEOPLE Magazine, I feel a little bit more in the know 😉

Oh, hello. The cover story on Brad Pitt. A wonderful 2-page spread followed by a great story and adorable photos of him through the years. He may not be this year’s winner OR my choice for Sexiest Man Alive (David Boreanaz!), but not bad, eh? 🙂

PEOPLE Magazine features

And finally, just some features I enjoy. I love reading the “Passages” section that gives me a quick update on all the news… births, deaths, marriages, babies, etc. And the recipes… there was one in this issue for pecan pie – YUM.

What a lovely night in for this mama 😉

Did you pick up the Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue or another recent PEOPLE Magazine issue? What’s your guilty pleasure for mama time?

David Boreanazyep, just throwing it out there again 😉
