Want to be a Curator? NOVICA $50 giveaway

Novica

I’ve shared information about Novica before–an online shopping site where you can find tons of fair trade, handmade, unique products and gifts made by talented artisans worldwide. We have a few items in our home from Novica and love them!

There’s now a new feature on Novica that lets YOU become the curator! You can create collections of products in any theme, color scheme, gift idea, etc. that you want! You can add images from Novica’s mood library, name your collections, and share your boards. It’s kind of like Pinterest, but it’s for a GREAT cause!

WHY curate? These artisans need you! When you create an awesome collection that features their product(s), you’re helping to get them in front of more eyes; you’re getting them more exposure. By giving their product context in a themed board, maybe you’re giving buyers an idea of how to display or use it, which makes them more likely to make a purchase. In any case, you’re helping small artisans and their workshops around the world–and isn’t that why we’re all here? To help others?

Okay, okay–helping others should be reason enough to participate, but if you want another reason… one lucky curator is going to win an 8-day trip for 2 to Machu Picchu! Check out contest details and tips on how to be a great curator HERE. ((Ends March 14, 2013))

I definitely registered and can’t wait to start curating! I’ve been a fan of Novica and fair trade forever anyway so this is just an added bonus. I enjoy putting things together–especially since moving into our new house and trying to decorate it! Hmmm, maybe I should do a South American inspired room 😉
