Dr. Smith’s new product launch in Chicago

Last month I was invited to attend a special event for Dr. Smith’s in Chicago. Their Diaper Rash Ointment has been popular with parents for years, but they are just now launching in stores across the country so it’s EASY for us to find! I’ve been trying it out on the kids, got to meet the team in Chicago, and am excited about this opportunity for them.

The event was a lot of fun. I got to mingle with other local bloggers, chat with other media outlets, hear the story behind Dr. Smith’s and meet a few members of the team. Ohhh, and did I mention that I got to see Bill and Giuliana Rancic?!

It was just so refreshing and nice to hear about Dr. Smith’s and their beginnings (back in 1963!) and their hopes for the brand and for parents. They’re here to help and were so down-to-earth. Then the Rancic’s took the mic and shared their very touching and inspirational story… which some of you may know… their journey to becoming parents and how it saved Giuliana’s life when they detected breast cancer. Their son? ADORABLE.

Could I look any more excited? Haha.

Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment: what’s it all about?

Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment is a gentle blend of ingredients that’s fast acting to give quick relief to those baby bottoms. It’s creamy, works like an ointment, is easy to put on, and easy to wash off. We’re fans and so are the kids! Ryan will remind me to “put on the cream.”

Is Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment safe?

We’re pretty conscious of what goes on our baby’s skin because we all know that it ends up IN their body. Before trying or buying any new skincare product, I check out the Cosmetics Database that ranks products on a scale of 0 to 10. A 0 is the safest (with 0-2 being safe or low) and a 10 is the worst. I always stick to products with ratings of 2 and under. And Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment? Passes the test with a 2! Its active ingredient is zinc oxide and inactive ingredients include beeswax, lanolin, mineral oil, olive oil, and paraffin wax.

Where can I find Dr. Smith’s Diaper Rash Ointment?

It’s now available in Walgreens stores across the country and on walgreens.com. Walmart is increasing the number of stores carrying the Ointment and Kroger is adding it to all of their stores. There are over 10,000 new stores carrying the product and you can also find it at leading regional retailers Albertson’s, H-E-B, Publix, Harris Teeter, Ingles, Schnucks, and more. You can also find it online at amazon.com and drugstore.com!

Love it! I need more info!
