Black Friday Deals: a plan of attack!

Ahhhh, are you ready?!?! Black Friday is just under 2 weeks away and all the sales and deals are starting to pop up, so exciting! Do you head out for the Black Friday deals to fight the crowds and shop in stores or do you stay home and shop online? I have a new plan this year…

Two years ago, when I was 6 months pregnant, my husband and I had a whole Black Friday attack plan. We started at Toys R Us to get toys for our (then) 2-year-old son, moved on to Menard’s for more toys and things for the home, and then hit Target.

I think Toys R Us was set to open at 11pm the night before Black Friday and we got there around 10pm and the line was a mile long, not kidding, and once the doors opened they were only letting in a handful at a time. And me? 6 months pregnant? Oh, I didn’t bring a coat. After about 45 minutes freezing in line, I totally ditched my husband and went to sit in the car until he got up to the door. Menard’s was more uneventful and Target was a crazy place with the checkout line wrapped through every aisle to the back of the store. Another hour in line, at least, and the husband and I weren’t home in bed until after 2am.

We have a few things we need this year so we’re keeping an eye out for Black Friday deals, but we’ll be waiting till Friday to shop, no middle of the night stuff for us old folks 😉 And if the deals are online? PERFECT. I’m staying home in my pjs.
