I picked out some of my favorite items to show above that I would love to have for my kids (a 21-month-old daughter and a nearly 4yo son). Ryan loves experiments (of course, he has some science nerds for parents ;)) and he loves any type of puzzle or maze where he has to strategically plan his moves.

Each piece has a magnetic backing so you can set it up on your refrigerator, filing cabinet, or any other metal surface. We set it up on our refrigerator and sometimes the pieces slip, but it stays put pretty well. Ryan LOVES it. We plan on painting a wall in the basement playroom with the magnetic chalkboard paint and then we can set this up down there–lots more space to play!
The interactive construction of the WonderMaze really encourages creative play and critical thinking. Without even realizing it, kids learn all about gravity, physics, and logic and they practice fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. You can create two (or more) paths and drop the starting balls at the same time for a race to the finish! Whose pathway is fastest? How can you improve it? What slowed it down? So many options and ways to play! Suggested ages are 3-9, but our 21-month-old loves to drop the ball in (as she can’t quite set up the maze yet) and WE love to play with it too 😉
