Highlights has been around for over 65 years… we all remember them as kids, right?! My husband said he didn’t and I was like WHAT?! Were you living under a ROCK?! If not at home, didn’t you see them at every dentist’s and doctor’s office?! Anyyyway, I’m so thrilled with how they’ve grown and have added amazing new products–for all ages!
Highlights for kids
In addition to the new Hidden Picture Club (because… those hidden pictures are the best, right?!), Highlights has magazines for kids of all ages. Hello for ages 0-2, High Five for ages 2-6, and Highlights for kids ages 6-12.
But did you know that Highlights for Kids also has lots of other great stuff?! Their shop is full of books, gifts, and toys! Arts and crafts, science, puzzles, pretend play, learning to read… here are some of my favorites that can be found at the Highlights store:
Rebecca has a subscription to the Hello Magazine. You might wonder how a magazine exists for a baby or toddler under age 2… I wondered at first, too. But once Rebecca got her hands on some, I was completely convinced that it’s an AWESOME gift for her age (she’s 21 months). The pages won’t rip, the pictures are bright and colorful, and the text is short. She adores looking at the pictures because she’s t the stage where she’s learning there’s a word for everything and she wants to know what that word is. NOW! Over and over and over again 😉
We also got this 4-pack of Highlights for kids Board Books–like the Hello Magazine, they’re simple stories with great artwork. They come in a little slip case so it makes for a great gift this holiday season! There are plenty more books to choose from, too… fiction or non-fiction, science, and learning-to-read… ages 0 up to 14 years!
Consider the fun and educational gift of a Highlights magazine subscription this year…a gift that arrives in their mailbox all year long! A year subscription of any of the Highlights for kids magazines is just $29.64! And right now each subscription comes with a 2014 Hidden Pictures Calendar and Stickers!
GIVEAWAY: one lucky reader will win the same gift set I received! A 1-year magazine subscription (you can choose the best one for your child–Hello, High Five, or Highlights) and the set of 4 board books! Please use the form below to enter–good luck!
