Snack Packs: tips for a great start!

I’m thrilled to be kicking off the Tips for a Great Start with Team Kellogg’s today on Tip #1! We all want every day to be great, of course, and the best way to get there is by beginning the day on the right note! Tip #1 is all about keeping up your great start and recharging with snack packs.

Snacks definitely keep us moving when we’re on-the-go and if I ever leave the house without them it’s an immediate regret. You KNOW when you’re out without snacks, your child will suddenly become starving and throw a tantrum, right? And, shhh, maybe sometimes that happens to mommy, too 😉

Packing snacks doesn’t  have to be a chore. It’s a necessity with kids, so how many snacks do you think you can pack in 60 seconds?! Let’s make this fun! Check out this tip for getting it done:

We’re busy moms, right? I mean, “busy mom” is a bit redundant… so we like our snack packs FAST. We need something ready to go when we run out the door. I liked the idea of seeing how many I could make in 60 seconds (competitive? me? nooo….) and had to get it on video for you.

So, did I beat the record of 12 snack packs in 60 seconds?!

Whoooo! That was fun 😉 And now we’re set for 13 snacks! Make sure you have a great start by remembering your snack packs! Mix them up and package them in advance so you’re never without when you’re running out the door with the kids! We like to use our favorites: Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Kellogg’s Corn Pops, and Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats. There’s something for each of us to love in there.

Another tip is to have the family help out! Ryan, our 4-year-old, can be a picky eater, but he seems to have more interest in food if he picks it out or helps us make or pack it. He’s the best helper, too, so he helps me mix and pour our snack packs! I wonder how many he can do in 60 seconds?! 🙂 Rebecca just enjoys eating them 😉

I’m starting off my day with a great start and hope you are, too! Please check out for more ideas and tips!
