Oh my, Mother Tucker!

I have been eyeing Belly Bandit for years. I don’t think I knew about them until well after Ryan was born and since Rebecca has been born their collection has grown to include so much more–plenty of items for before, during, and after pregnancy! There’s legwear and tank tops, shapewear and maternity wear, and tops for nursing.

Have you heard about the Mother Tucker line? It’s as awesome as it sounds… “Don’t nip it or suck it, simply Mother Tuck-It.” After two babies, let’s just say I miss my abs. I’m still working on getting those muscles back together and until then, I’m dealing with the mommy pouch. I have the Mother Tucker Scoop Neck tank top and I seriously want the whole line–the v-neck tank, the nursing tank, and the leggings. Yes! MOTHER TUCKER LEGGINGS.

The Mother Tucker compression items are made with a soft and stretchy knit with THREE different zones of compression. The center zone offers the most compression, of course, to slim your tummy. Then there’s a genius 3″ anti-roll zone at the bottom for “muffinology”–no seriously, they trademarked that term! It, probably obviously, smooths a muffin top 😉 Finally, the upper zone provides support, but without so much compression that you’re feeling squeezed. It’s no fun to not be able to breathe, is it?!

It comes in black or nude and I opted for the nude with the upcoming warmer weather in mind… I stick to black in the winter and I just can’t wait for spring! With lighter tops and tanks, I figured the nude would look better underneath. But now I want black in my collection, too 😉

I’ve worn it quite a few times now and have washed it 4 times. It has held its shape and looks totally fine after washing and it feels the same on each time, too. I mean, it hasn’t loosened. When I first looked at the tank (I got a size small, which is for sizes 2-6 and I’m probably like a 4-6) I was like, eeeeek! Is that going to fit me?! But it definitely does–it has the stretch!–and it feels great on. I feel all… contained, lol, and it makes me feel much more comfortable and at ease in my clothes. You can see the length in the photo below and it rides up slightly with movement, but not nearly as much as I thought it would.

There are some NEW Belly Bandit products, too. The Thighs Disguise is a supportive maternity short that offers some belly support, keeps your thighs from rubbing together uncomfortably, and adds some shape to your tush. Wear it as your underwear to avoid lines! The Flawless Belly is such a great idea! You rub on your favorite stretch mark cream (it even comes with some Mama Mio oil) and put the Flawless Belly on, under your clothes. The WonderWeave material holds in moisture to  help reduce stretch marks while lifting and supporting your belly. Love it! I always wanted a belly supporter during pregnancy (that thing gets heavy!) and this one is multi-purpose.
