Bathroom redecorating: lime green?

~Written in partnership with Softsoap. All opinions and photos (and terrible redecorating ideas) are my own 😉

I was just over at a friend’s house and asked her to come decorate my house. They just got married a few months ago and the house is already painted all new colors, photos hung all over their walls, and is beautifully decorated. We’ve been in our new house for just over a year now and still haven’t hung up pictures :/ I HAVE, however, painted 3 rooms in the house, so I’m pretty proud of that 😉 Needless to say, we still have work to do. I am just terrible at decorating and could use some professional help because I have no idea what will look good, but we’re making a plan to take this one room at a time!

The kids’ bedrooms are done. Our office is done except for wall hangings. Up next: painting the kitchen, extra bedroom, and main bathroom, and hanging family photos on the walls! So I started with the main bathroom… why? Because it’s the smallest space and that means it’s the easiest, haha. I found some inspiration for my bathroom design… I wanted something bright and airy and I’m totally NOT a green person, but I’m loving these ideas:

Pretty, right? Maybe I just REALLY want spring to get here, haha. But it goes so great with white and maybe throw in some gray… I don’t want black because it’s a small room and I don’t want it to look dark and small. The green makes a nice background for vases of flowers, too. I also have this Wild Basil & Lime soap that will be a nice added accessory to the room and really is kind of what I’m using to color match!

Right now the walls in our bathroom are a blah beige color and there’s a strip of wallpaper at the top that’s dark purples–it’s funky. It needs to go. I hate wallpaper. I think our white sink and toilet will look great with some green and gray in there, don’t you? I hope so! After pictures coming soon…. for real…. I’ll get started soon…. someday? 😉
