Nature’s Bakery: fig bar snacks

This post was created in partnership with Nature’s Bakery. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve never really made resolutions for the New Year. I’ve thought about things in a more general sense, like maybe this year we should try to be healthier, spend less time working, and more time with family. But I’ve never sat down and made a plan. I’ve never created specific goals or written down a way to meet them. THIS year is different.

My husband and I both declared that 2015 is the year of US. We have two young children, ages 5 and (almost) 3. The past 5 years have been all about them, understandably. But at their current ages, we’re starting to feel a bit more freedom. We’re getting a bit of US back. So this year, we’re getting fit, getting healthy, and having fun.

Part of our plan includes healthier eating. We’re trying to do less snacking on junk and more natural ingredients. We found Nature’s Bakery and their 100% natural Fig Bars as a great treat.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like them—I wasn’t a fan of those other fig bars when I was younger and now I think that may have been because they were too sweet! These fig bars from Nature’s Bakery have just a hint of flavor and sweetness. In one pack you get the 2 bars shown above. Those 2 bars have only 110 calories. They’re wonderful to throw in my purse (plus, moms can never be out without snacks handy for their kids!), to eat on the run, to throw in lunches, and for my husband to take to work.

Nature's Bakery Fig Bars

Flavors: Strawberry, Mango, Lemon, Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry, Whole Wheat Fig, Peach Apricot, Raspberry, Vanilla Fig, and Vanilla Raspberry

I think Strawberry and Whole Wheat Fig are my favorites while my husband most likes the Lemon and Apple Cinnamon. They’re all good though! And the two little bars are pretty filling—I usually one eat one. Use one “twin pack” for your mid-morning snack and mid-afternoon snack! Or share it 😉

Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars are cholesterol-free, dairy free, and kosher with a list of ingredients you can read. Check out the Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar Fanatics Program and share your favorites!
