Clean Eating Tips for Beginners

As many of you know, my husband and I recently overhauled the ingredients in our kitchen. I went all in and threw away most processed and refined foods. Out with all the added sugar! We aim for fresh foods, organic meats and produce, less dairy, and the occasional complex carbs like whole grains. It has been wonderful! We have more energy, have both lost weight, and just feel better all around.

Before we started this lifestyle, I thought it would be difficult. I hate to cook and I don’t meal plan very well. I

A nursery room humidifier for your essential oils!

Winter in the midwest can be brutal—everyone gets sick, the house gets so dry, we’re stuck indoors… (ps: there are 26 days until spring). We have a big humidifier always on in our basement to help combat the winter dryness, but I find that it still bothers me at night when we’re upstairs in our bedrooms for 6+ hours. Portable humidifiers are a beautiful thing!

We have the digital humidifier and diffuser from Babymoov. It’s in our (almost) 3-year-old daughter’s room most of the time, but we move it around if someone isn’t

The Dirty Facts: Behind Closed Bathroom Doors

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Scrubbing Bubbles®. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I hate cleaning. My parents always called it “doing chores” when I was little and it was something to be dreaded. I try to stay away from the word “chore.” That makes it sound like something you HAVE to do, like a punishment. But cleaning is FUN, right?!?! Haha, well…. maybe not…. but it doesn’t have to be a CHORE. Put

This post was created in partnership with Nature’s Bakery. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve never really made resolutions for the New Year. I’ve thought about things in a more general sense, like maybe this year we should try to be healthier, spend less time working, and more time with family. But I’ve never sat down and made a plan. I’ve never created specific goals or written down a way to meet them. THIS year is different.

My husband and I both declared that 2015 is the year of US. We have

Family Movie Nights with Feeln (now half off!)

We don’t have cable or anything at our house. My husband and I actually got rid of it in college years ago (I thought I was going to die!), but we’ve never looked back. We survive with streaming services, like Feeln. Haven’t heard of it? Well, I know you’ve heard of Netflix… and this is the same idea, but is specifically for families. I partnered with them to share how you can try it free for a week or read below on how to get one year half off.

It’s really super easy

The Flutterbye Fairy: Chosen By Kids!

Not too long ago I shared information about the upcoming #ChosenByKids event at local Walmart stores, where your kids could be come official toy testers! Did you attend your local event? I did! I had checked out some of the toys on the hot list this year and wanted to see them in person. Thanks to Tinkerbell, my kids both love fairies, so I wanted to see what the new Flutterbye Fairy was all about–she flies?!
