Joovy HiLo: the only highchair you need

I am in love with this highchair and only wish it had been around when we had Ryan 5 years ago!!! It will be the only chair you need—the Joovy HiLo is great for ages 6 months up to 6 years!

How? The seat flips a 180 to go from a baby highchair to a toddler seat. Use it with the tray or without, pushed up to your own table. In the photo above, Rebecca (2) is in the baby position, which means the seat is higher. To rotate the seat, you simply

PLAYSKOOL Parties with Let’s Imagine Elmo

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Playskool. I received product samples to facilitate my party and review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

A couple of weeks ago we had some friends over to play with our new PLAYSKOOL toys! We had a good variety for all ages, boys and girls, and were ready for lots of fun! I love the imaginative play of little ones and am always hunting for toys to inspire that. PLAYSKOOL products are specifically designed

New Action Cameras: GoPro at Best Buy!

I’m totally an adventure-seeker. I love a good adrenaline rush! Since having kids I haven’t had too many adventures (beyond raising two toddlers, haha), but the love for it will never leave me! I’ve gone skydiving in New Zealand, swam in the ocean with wild dolphins, snorkeled the great barrier reef, swam with stingrays, explored underground caves, climbed a waterfall, and I loooooove an amazing roller coaster ride.

With little kids, the adventures are certainly still there, maybe just not as wild and crazy (yet). Family vacations, water parks, sledding, horse riding, and

Babywearing with a Ring Sling (Snuggy Baby giveaway)

I’ve been babywearing for nearly 5 years, since our first was born. One of my carriers way back then was a ring sling—I really WANTED to love it, the ease of use, the comfy pouch for baby, and the beautiful fabric hanging from the rings that could be used as a nursing cover or burp cloth… but I really struggled babywearing with a ring sling.

When you have a newborn baby—especially your first!—you will be in a panic to make them comfortable and stop crying. For me, that meant quickly ditching my ring

The Food Chain: fun & educational activities for kids

Our 4 (almost 5) year old son is so excited to learn about everything and he really soaks it all in, making it really fun to teach him about the world right now. He’s thrilled to participate in any hands-on activity and we usually learn best by DOING, right? I try to combine different things when teaching (from realizing how I learn best and from previously being a teacher and observing my own students). We read, we draw, we listen, we watch, we do.

Today’s fun and educational lesson is on the food

Safe Sleep Tips with HALO: plus giveaway!

I’ve been a HALO fan since we had Ryan nearly 5 years ago. We used their SleepSacks for our children as a safe way to sleep and keep warm, without blankets. They’re now a regular on baby registries and as shower gifts for new parents! I’ve teamed up with HALO to bring you these safe sleep tips:

NEW Contours Options Elite Tandem Stroller: with $100 Babies R Us giveaway

One of my favorite baby brands ever is Contours Baby—I’ve owned 3 of their strollers and got one of their bassinets for friends of ours having their first baby. They’re reliable, quality products, made with mom (and baby) in mind, and Contours is a family-friendly company with awesome customer service.

Contours recently launched their brand new double stroller: the Options Elite. I got one to review and as I also own their previous Options LT Tandem, the differences are clear to me. Watch for another post coming
