Chocolate-Covered Sunflower Seed Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup olive oil (or 1 cup butter)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate candy-coated sunflower seeds
  1. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375-degrees.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars.
  3. Add the extracts and stir.
  4. Sift in the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix to combine.
  5. Beat in the eggs until the mixture is creamy.
  6. Stir in the mini chocolate chips and chocolate candy-coated sunflower seeds.
  7. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto your prepared pans.
  8. Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to completely cool.
