With two toddlers at home, if we don’t get out of the house we ALL go crazy. Plus there’s just so much fun to be had in the fall! Apple orchards, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, leaf piles, hay rides, horse riding, beautiful arboretums, and our last stroller walks through the neighborhood before the snow comes! Bundleme from JJ Cole It’s crazy how much I love fall because I’m totally a flip-flop-wearing, beach-loving, summer sunshine kinda girl. But it’s just so…. cozy! I love hoodies and fuzzy blankets, I love warm coffee cups and hot chocolate, I love soups and pumpkin EVERYTHING. So, as we head into October, here are 5 easy & fun tips to celebrate fall. The only reason I have not yet fully decorated our home for fall is because the boxes of decor were put underneath lots of other heavy decor boxes (for other seasons and holidays!) and Ohhhh, winter, how I despise you. I hate the cold and all the snow, the lack of sunshine, and being stuck inside. I have two toddlers and if I don’t keep them busy, we all lose our sanity 😉 Some days are already getting a bit chilly this fall and in preparation for the even colder days to come, I came up with a list of indoor fun for kids! 1. Are you ready for back-to-school season?! Part of me is dreading it because it means the end of summer and my kids back at school. But part of me loves it because it means… my kids back at school 😉 It also means fall weather, new clothes, getting cozy, pumpkin patches, and hot chocolate! I can always The first time I saw this simple and delicious treat was at Christmas time years ago. My great friend Jacalyn always made them. Then I started seeing them for fall or halloween treats with candy corn instead of red and green M&Ms. Well… I went to the store to make these for the fall… I got excited by the cooler weather and our trip to northern Wisconsin… but it seems I was a bit ahead of the game. The grocery store didn’t have any candy corn out yet!!! AHHHHHHHHH! I was totally bummed, but I remember doing crafts with my mom when I was a kid, but don’t think I’m particularly a crafty person. Or, at least, I wasn’t. But now that I’m a stay-at-home mom? I love doing projects with Ryan and it’s something fun to fill our days. He gets really proud of things he has made, too!
