It’s day 2 of my week with the Save Babies Blogger Baby Shower! Today we’re going to talk boobs… and what they’re made for… feeding babies! Did you know 7 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong bra size?! Especially as We all know I’m a breastfeeding advocate and still nursing my 3yo and my 1yo. While my kids were exclusively breastfed until ~8 months old, they still had the occasional bottle. When Ryan was little, I taught part-time and I pumped while I was gone. In the 3 years I’ve had kids, I’ve taken a few trips (weekend getaways with the husband, conferences, etc.), I’ve pumped, and my kids had bottles. I love being able to try new nursing products that make I’m a big Leading Lady fan, I’ve talked about them here numerous times. They have great nursing apparel, as well as a full-figure line. This time, I’m working with their NEW intimate nursing apparel line: Loving Moments by Leading Lady. I LOVE this because I have heard too often from new moms or pregnant moms that breastfeeding I’ve been thinking about this topic of full-term breastfeeding for awhile and when I was looking up keywords for another post, the phrase “when to stop breastfeeding” popped up and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. When DO you stop breastfeeding? Well, don’t look at me for an answer. My 3-year-old son is still nursing. I like to joke that my 1-year-old daughter, who is little miss independent and pushes off as soon as she’s done nursing, will self-wean before Ryan…
I’m going to start by explaining my original breastfeeding goals… This is my first post about the ABC Kids Expo I attended in Kentucky two weeks ago. There was SO MUCH to see, it was a little overwhelming. There were the brands and people I’ve worked with before that I wanted to meet, finally, face-to-face. There were the products I use and I wanted to meet the brands and tell them how much I love them. There were the new brands I’ve never heard of and the products I’ve never seen that I wanted to learn about. Miles of booths! I naively It looks like a tote bag, right? I was actually sitting at a garage sale one of my girlfriend’s was having when I pulled out this baby. No one knew it was a pump… “what a cute purse!” Haha. I told them it was a breast pump and they were amazed–it’s so cute! It’s the Purely Yours Ultra breast pump from Ameda! It’s a suede and faux leather tote that can certainly be disguised as anything but a I love Leading Lady and their super comfy nursing bras and tanks–I now own quite a few and wear them often! When they asked me if I’d like to be featured on their “Amy’s Corner” blog (written by Amy Berry, their IBCLC), I jumped at the chance. I love talking breastfeeding–support for new moms is tragically lacking. This is a topic that has been tugging at me for awhile now and I’ve just needed to find the time to write about it.
