We have a ton of the children’s books written by Sandra Boynton… they are our favorite! And I say “our” because of course our kids love these books, but so do we–they’re fun to read with cute songs or rhymes and they’re clever little stories. Boynton is a bestselling children’s author and also a songwriter and music producer! We were lucky enough to receive her newest CD to review!
Ryan was thrilled when I said we were getting a Boynton CD. The kids love the books and we read one at least every day. My little 1.5yo goes to the bookshelf and pulls out lots of books, but always seems to bring me one Boynton’s, haha. She loves to point at all the animals and hear their names and noises.
So Boynton’s new country CD, “Frog Trouble,” is #2 on the New York Times Bestseller list! We’ve been listening to it in the car and it quickly became a favorite. Rebecca LOVES to dance to it. The CD has 12 original tracks by Boynton (arranged and mixed with Michael Ford) and some amazing artists.
It’s a great CD that moms are going to love to play for their kids. Like the album cover says, it’s for ages one to older than dirt! I am not a big fan of country music and I love the songs on here! It’s filled with a ton of awesome artists like Ben Folds, Ryan Adams, Brad Paisley, and Allison Krauss and has a bit of a mix from country to bluegrass to rockabilly! Our favorites are Copycat by Brad Paisley (fun to sing to!) and Broken Piano by Ben Folds (fun to dance to!) 🙂
